Hi there this is my fist post. I am considering putting an offer in for the waste land next door to ours, which as I understand it cannot be developed due to limited site access. I live in Waitakere City. The waste land is rated at the same amount as our property (~1700/year) which I dont really want to pay, single income family etc etc. I asked the council if it is possible to merge the two separate titles into one to reduce my rates obligations and was told by a wishy washy sounding person that I couldnt. I find this kind of hard to believe. Can anyone confirm this?
