  • Customer Reviews - Experienced Mortgage Broker - Christchurch

    Hello

I have a had a good look through the threads and searched on the forums for the above.

What we are after is a rock solid Mortgage Broker with EXPERIENCE and great results. We figured that posting on the forums may be the best way to find someone in the Christchurch area, although that is not critical.

We have all our documentation and proposal for finance in order and are ready to go.

We are finding matters a little bit difficult dealing directly with the banks, for finance on an investment property build.

After having a High Street bank impose more restrictions on us (after they had basically said all was ok and we had jumped through hoops for them), we really want a broker who can get the deal for us and close it. We are trying to avoid wasting more time by submitting everything to a Mortgage Broker, then getting knocked back again.

FYI the sticky point has been banks wanting MORE security than what we have to give them (greed).

    Any recommendations gratefully received.

If not sorted then call me on 09 428 5333, I do heaps of deals in ChCh and a Broker doesn't have to be in town. Cheers Jeff

Are you referring to the priority interest? I think it's almost always the case actually.

How much is the loan, as a percentage of the security the banks are asking for?

            Sorry for delay in replying.

We would have an LEP loan at 85%, but have no issue servicing the extra interest rate on that.

If this is for an investment property and its a stand a lone, no additional security, then only one real source at 85% that actually lend!

Interesting comment. Anyone can buy into a MP franchise and trade. Its the independents that have to rely on experience and savvy to succeed.
