HI, I'm following instructions from my Dad to come here and make a statement!
I'm living in Auckland (great place, isn't it??) and renting a house with my family in Avondale, through one of the local property management groups.
I've got a house inspection tomorrow, so instead of having a leisurely night at Mum and Dad's new house, I am here, cleaning and making sure it is up to scratch.
Anyway, I'm going to complain to them!!! They had a carpet man here late last year to fix some bubbling in the carpet. There is one, very small bubble left in my daughters' room. For it to be fixed, I have to empty to the room! I OBJECT! 1stly, because it is no small job to empty the room, the cot would have to be dismantled, books moved, cases can be moved, then everything has to be put back!!!!
I also want to complain that the insinkerator, which has been broken for well over a month now has not been fixed.
Finally, I have asked 2 times for a washing line and stupid excuses have been made. I have a very small washing line on the shadey side of the house. This is crazy!!! Next. I'll have the bond taken off me for repairs to the laundry paintwork which is all chipped due to moisture from using the dryer!
We've lived here over a year now, rent is paid on time, as is the water bill.
Any advice on how I can get a washing line installed and my insinkerator repaired (furniture will not be moved until these small requests are met he he).
And, just so you don't think I am too checky being a tenant and posting here...
My husband and I own an apartment in the city, which has been tenanted for 2 and a half years now. The most recent tenants have been there for going on 2 years. We don't really have any intentions of buying any more property at the moment (not with the prices of them).
Well, I had better dash, I have a very demanding 8 month old here wanting her Mum!
Thanks in advance for any advice about my (small) requests to my landlord.
