I see from Michael Yardney's latest newsletter - Australia's economy actually grew in the last financial year July 08 - June 09.
What was our performance - does anyone remember?
Especially those people who can get that wonderful $21K starter deal.
Cheers,
Donna

Well it's official... the latest economic figures confirm Australia has escaped the worst economic crisis since the 1930's with what most would consider only a mild recession.
Australia's economy grew at around 0.6% last year. O.K. that's a pretty miserable number isn't it? But at the same time every other advanced economy was shrinking.
But of course that doesn't mean we haven't all been touched, and many of us have been hurt by the difficult times in the last few years. Most property investors have been affected by falling property values while others have been hurt by the changes in the world of finance.
However things are getting better. If Australia keeps playing its cards right we will be the global investment flavour of the next 5 to 10 years. Yes... Australia seems to be the lucky country again. And this will have significant implications for property investors.
