We have a new tenant who has indicated a willingness to do a variety of handy-man jobs aroubnd the place in return for 'assistance' with the rent. The property concerned is in need of a paint and we would like to utilise his services but are wondering how discounting his rent might impact on our Property Management Company.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how this could be achieved for the benefit of all parties and what the accounting etc legalities of this sort of arrangement might be?
