  • Sales & Purchase Agreement

Where can I get hold of a Victorian real estate sales and purchase agreement to complete a house sale between myself and my brother.

I'd be happy to pay for it if i could find one.

Would it be possible to just walk into a lawyer's or perhaps a Real Estate Office and buy one? We can do that here.

Just a suggestion from a New Zealander in NZ.

      Essence,

That's exactly how I'd do it too... only I'm here in NZ as well

I rang a couple real estate agents yesterday but they were none
too impresse with not being involved in the sale.

Can ring my solicitor later in the day....but it still early there and
      I'm terribly impatient

Thanks for taking the time out for a suggestion or two

      Max

Go here and then just print off your own copy.

        Hope that helps.

          Hi essence

It is a Victorian document that he wants not the Auckland version.

Do a Google search for suburban conveyancing law firms in Melbourne - because they are likely to be the least expensive, given the competition.

They should be able to offer a quote for the full service, which should be less than AUD1000.

Thank you for the input but that's not what I'm looking for....just the S&P form is all I'm after at this stage.

I suspect that you think that you need the form to do the deal: You don't. You and your brother can enter into any form of agreement. You don't have to use the standard-form contract.

                  What about this?:

"[Your own agreed terms re price etc.]

Except where inconsistent with the above terms, this contract incorporates and includes the current version of any published standard-form contract for the sale and purchase of real estate in the state of Victoria that is approved by the relevant law society."
