The magazine fairy comeith...
Sarahd, it's not "a missing magazine" or "just an admin error"; it's 6 months of missing magazines; countless e-mails (not responded to), and the total lack of any courtesy or professionalism from an organisation that is supposed to be representing a group of people that deserve representation, and at no time more needed than in the current economic climate!
I'm not sure I 'slammed' them either, I just posted the correspondence as 'self explanatory'. I gave the APIA plenty of notice the correspondence would be posted, I removed the names of the people involved. I provided my own name.
All could have been avoided, on numerous occasions, by the APIA simply sending me a response. They didn’t have to respond in my favour, ANY response would have done. Anything at all.
HelenB... where do I start. I've been in London over 14 years and have subscribed to NZ (and Oz) property magazines for that entire period. If it was just about the magazine, I would order it direct from the publisher. If it was about the money, I wouldn't have spend 3 times the amount in question to go to a west end theatre last week. It's about the APIA and an expectation for them to behave in a way members can feel their subscription is well spent.
Coincidently, you live on Waiheke, I have property on Waiheke. You should invite me over for dinner.

Anyway, thank you for your posts. I actually logged on to say 2 days ago I received April's edition of the NZ property mag. No note, no warning; and unexpected as I am yet to (re)subscribe to the mag (although it is in my 'shopping basket'). Then, yesterday I receive Feb and March editions!!
Although they are post marked straight from the publisher, I can only assume they are (instructed) from the APIA. I’m not sure now; should I subscribe to the mag and order back issues? What will tomorrow’s post bring?
I don't want to appear ungrateful (or selfish for that matter), however this underlines this entire thread...
Would it have killed the APIA to drop me a note? Is communication such a dirty word?
