Hi, I have a question regarding chattels on a property I bought.
I bought a house about 6 months ago, which has multiple flats to it.
I've only just found out now according to 2 of the tenants there is faults with the ovens in 2 of the flats.
I've already replaced the one that was the worst of the two.
The tenants are telling me the faults were there when I bought the house, and that the previous owner told them he was going to tell me about them.
I suppose I should have checked the ovens when I bought the place, but I didn't think of it really.
Is there any recourse I can have with the previous owner or the real estate company?
I'm pretty sure there was nothing on the sale and purchase agreement about the faulty chattels.
Thanks.
