Any investors out there interested in buying a small motor camp literally on the shores of Lake Rotorua - 2 minutes from the CBD and hospital, easy walking distance too! It even used to be on thermal!
We own an IP next door to this camp. The camp has been on the market for months since the Chinese owners abandoned it. We have just lost the best tenants in Rotorua because of what is happening at this camp. It has been overrun by vagrants, drug users, drunks, criminals, thieves. The washbasins have been removed by whoever, the hot water cylinders have been removed and goodness knows what else. The windows have been smashed, doors removed - and so it goes on. The owners' lawyers are not interested, the real estate agent can't do anything, the neighbours are having to constantly call the police.
I went to the Rotorua District Council a couple of months ago (we are out of town landlords) to see what could be done. They were only interested if there was a problem with sewerage! I was sent on my way with a business card for the lady who was to be called if this problem arose. I now know why - THEY WERE TOO BUSY - chasing after motor home people 'squatting' on their own land!
However, back to this property for sale. I understand it is on the market for $2.2m - that was before the damage to the property. I am sure there is an investor out there with massive negotiating skills who could get it for a song AND save us from our horrible situation along with saving our other valued neighbours whose property is being damaged and burgled.
If you are interested PLEASE PM me and I will give you all the contact details.
