The IRD holds themselves up to be the bastion of getting things right (with regards to tax), then this proves that they are not.
I wonder whether this will make the IRD more approachable with tax matters - yeah right. A small mistake obviously, but would they have let a taxpayer make a small mistake, I don't think so.
Red-faced tax collectors at the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) have reassured the public all income tax returns will be correctly processed despite a glaring error in the accompanying instruction book.
