Thanks Perry and kirschbaum, that's good to know. As Perry points out, dehumidifiers are designed to work in warm air, so Perry's advice is highly relevant.
kirschbaum, do you have any detail on trickle vents? It's not something I'm familiar with, though I have a situation where I had considered something along those lines, but was concerned about how much heat we'd be losing.
Re Exit Mould (™) and related products, most of these use sodium hypochlorite as the primary, and often the only, active ingredient. Note also that one of the '30 Seconds' products is the same chemical, though at quite a different price. If your considering blue label '30 Seconds', check the label for the active ingredient(s), vs cheapie brand supermarket bleach and the cost. Some of the std household bleaches also add a wee bit of sodium hydroxide, which is just caustic soda or lye.
