    Smile investing in Queenland

    Hi

just after some advice really. I have a couple of properties in NZ which are ticking over nicely. I have been reading about Queenland and it seems a good place to invest. In NZ I bought brand new low maintain stand alone houses which have served me well.
however I do not know the queenland market that well and was thinking of using a company such as Key2,Secured property investments or Australian properties. Does anyone have any thoughts or experiences with these companies any advice would be appreicated

I wouldn't want to unwittingly invest into something like blue chip

    Thanks Walrus

Why would you need yet another middleman to buy a new house?

    Research using the web.
    Pick a promising spot.
    Talk to some decent agents.
    Sort out the tax stuff.
    Fly over.

    I fully agree!

I have just come back from a trip to the Gold Coast, i was looking at property while over there. A good friend of mine has been investing over there for the last 5 years, he has done very well.

There are many opportunities over there, and it is just beginning to boom again. The whole corridor between Brisbaine and the Gold Coast is growing big time, I will be investing other there myself shortly.

Like anything tho, with a little homework and research, you can avoid getting tucked, if you are dealing thru a Queensland Estate agent direct, you should be better off, rather than going thru an Investment/Finding service.

    Best of luck,

Default Have also been talking to Key2

I've been talking to someone at Key2 recently. Think I will make a trip over and see how they stack up against some other local agents.

Can anyone recommend an agent to talk to in the Brisbane area?

    Cheers

    guys

I have been over to the Gold coast twice in the last 6 weeks. I met the Key2 people and they are selling product in the $450k bracket. The builder pays a rebate back of 30K to Key 2. When pricing add stamp duty as it is left out of all the figures you receive. The quality of Key2 builders is not good.

You can do it yourself - I am releasing some stock in Jacobs ridge in Feb. (Dreamworld area) with better quality builders and less margin.
