    Thanks, Keys.

Does someone have a list of the alpha character
references? From your example, Keys, obviously,
    NN is Nelson.

Does DBH have a easily accessible published list
of how they code other areas? Especially as these
characters are not shown on the forms!

BTW, This an image of the page I get from your reference.

Clicking on the pdf icon under View produces nothing, however.

Definitely not designed for the casual or merely curious reader.

Since the info is now sorta public, would there be any objection to this site (say) creating a list of cases based on whatever people wanted to add?

          Afternoon xris.

It was one I had a passing interest in.

Interestingly, it has a lot of justification added to the order by the adjudicator. I wonder, was it because it was a higher profile case than most?

It worked for me (Firefox 1.5.0.2 browser on Win XP).

Not wanting to sabotage the thread, but this is the one that got discussed to death on trademe, right? I can see why the tenants were p-ed off.

                How odd.
I can get the adobe pdf file to open in Opera,
                but not in/from FF 2.0.0.7!

Try using the street name & town, that seems to work for me.

Remember it probably goes back less than a year. In time it should be a fantastic resource, as long as we keep them honest.

                    Tracking tenants

I did a bit of casual surfing on Tribunal site today.

I was actually looking for a potential tenant to see whether they had anything against them (luckily not).

I just typed in initial and first two letters of surname. What I found was a couple down in Christchurch that obviously pay the Bond and basically that's it. They leave the premises in a mess and abandon their belongings and leave it for the landlord to sort out.

In a matter of 10 months they've managed to accumulate judgements against them for just over $7K.

Just pays to check, doesn't it.
                    Patience is a virtue.

you are entitled to give the name of the tenant on this site.
The tribunal is an open court like any other unless the adjudicator so rules.

I just had a text from Chelsea Bashford looking for a property to rent again
She was a tenant of mine and was evicted by me from 170A Queen St Richmond.

It's going to be harder and harder to qualify forthese people.

The good news for this is the flow on effect that will occur. The more a centralized system becomes public for tenants the better they will behave.

Problem tenants will start finding it hard to rent property shortly and this could put pressure on a small few to behave. The threat of a public mark against there name that would follow them for a long time.
