Rugby World Cup 2007 (Updates)
Hi All,
As Rugby is our national game in New Zealand I thought a regular update on progress by all teams would be welcomed here.
The French didn't get the start they would have want on Friday evening - losing to Argentina 17-12.
While the All Blacks acheived a margin of more than 50 against Italy yesterday. 76 - 14
Believe in Black -
Australia - Japan 91 - 3; and England - USA 28 - 10
Cheers,
Donna

Great to see new countries qualifying and not being beaten by huge margins too.
Cheers,

Rugby: Brave punter puts $6m on All Blacks

Rugby World Cup
SYDNEY - Chokers or not, one punter is prepared to get behind the All Blacks to the tune of A$5 million ($5.92 million) to win the rugby World Cup in France.
With the tournament nearing the quarterfinal stages, New Zealand are the top picks at A$1.71 with Betfair.
"We can't discuss his identity. Unfortunately I can't disclose his country of origin," Betfair spokesman Hugh Taggart said today.
"This is an enormous bet. It's certainly one of the biggest individual bets we've seen on Betfair and one that would normally have bookies running for cover."
South Africa are second pick at A$4.50 with Australia firming to outright third favouritism at A$10.50.
New Zealand's won their only World Cup at home in 1987, being eliminated in the semifinals and finals of the four editions since then.

Believe in Black - taken to the extreme!
So do you think the geezer just handed over $5m to place the bet? Or has payment terms?

Fiji
Um, Donna, it's 20 years since Fiji made the quarter-finals.
It was the same year we (last) won the World Cup 1987
