Being financially free before we turned 30, was a goal that my wife and I have worked extremely hard towards over the last 8 years.
And we have just achieved this!
Everyones idea of what being free entails will be something different, but in our case it means choosing to, as apposed to having to, work. As well as living a comfortable lifestyle.
Our dream includes our own home, rental property, and a house on a beach. (almost forgot a small downtown section in the USA that we can't sell!!)
To achieve this goal we have given up a lot ie not having children and keeping our jobs and saving, as well as developing property in nearly every spare hour we had.
I have a lot of feelings on the current media hype about not being able to afford the Kiwi dream. But there is something to be said about working for it as well!
Its been an interesting journey. Maybe we will take a break from property for a while......then again maybe not! its nice to be able to choose though :-)
I Would love to know what other peoples goals and plans for the future are?
