Hi all,
Just me, having another whinge again.
Every time I have logged on today I have seen the new annoying banner ad, which proclaims that Sean Wood, the "Ten Million Dollar Man", has "made $63,888 a month, EVERY MONTH for the last three years".
Does RM think we have short memories? Only 6 months ago they were advertising Woods as the seven millon man, who had made $63,888 each month, every month, for the last three years.
Refer to this thread for more on the debate about that claim: http://www.propertytalk.com/forum/sh...ight=sean+wood
Now, irrespective of how RM calculated the figure for their previous advertising, the latest advertsing is clearly false. Woods has apparently made an additional $3M over the last six months, but is apparently still only averaging the exact same $63,888 every month. The maths doesn't work, sorry.
RM - now that this error has been pointed out to you, will you please correct your advertising? (I am asking so as to avoid having to forward this matter to the Advertising Standards Authority.)
PropertyTalk - could you please ask your advertisers to ensure that the advertisments they pay you to place on your site do not mislead the readers of your site?
Paul.
