$30k Ouch!
Tenant awarded $30k after living with his family in uninsulated sleepout
24 Jan 2021
Why wait three years to complain, I wonder?
I wonder if the sole Director, one Suryakantamma Phutane, will wind up the company, rather than hand over $30k?...

Sleepout within setback of boundary - retrospective consent
I'd be most grateful for some advice.
Our neighbours have built a single-storey sleepout within the setback of our fence. They tell us it encroaches by 60cm (apparently the local guidelines are 1m). It overlooks the fence by about 1.5m.
It interrupts the view a little but...

I am starting to research adding a less than 10m2 unit/room/granny flat (whatever you call it) onto my section in Grey Lynn. It will not have any power/water, just a bedroom. I have set up meeting with council to understand building/resource consent implications, as from my research...

Hi all,
My wife and I just purchased our first house (1954 3brm) and it came with a very out of the ordinary extension to the original home. The foundations are connected and walls are connected, but roofs are separated by a very poor attempt at an internal gutter between the eves (all...Last edited by nlxon; 15-04-2015, 11:59 AM.
