So I currently live in Australia but I'm from NZ. I'm buying property in NZ off a family member but I am not able to use my kiwisaver or get the first home owners grant as I am a tax resident of Australia so technically an overseas buyer.

I'm going to have about $400,000 from an inheritance that I would like to invest in NZ but I am overseas. I've heard it's difficult to get mortgages if you are overseas, and I have little income as well. Does anyone have any advice about getting mortages for ex-pat Kiwis?

Just bought a house in Meadowbank. Upper end of market with a pool. I currently live overseas and so will rent it out for at least two years.
