We know you can break a fixed loan today, pay the break fee, and refix again.
But can you re-fix say 50 or 60 days out, but before your term loan expires, and pay whatever bank break fee the bank calculates at that time ?

Long time reader- first time poster.
My parents have a fixed rate mortgage of approx 200K at around 9% which expires in Jan 2011.
They are both working on good incomes ( ~ 100K HH) and in secure jobs and have about 8-10 years left before they retire.
