Not really. A lot of it is covered with w/m, tub, storage. We walk on about 1/3. One hairline crack in this area was seen when the assessor came but he felt it wasn't bad enough to be a concern.

Agree. The problem is there's no way to tell, other than waiting and seeing. I suppose the question is what is a reasonable time frame? Any damage would probably show up within a few weeks would you...

This is my PPOR. The burst HWC was a rental but tenants were great so didn't have any lost rent. The time delays are more frustrating than anything. I've been around a while so I'm used to waiting,...

Thanks Sam. I gather back in the day they slapped down tiles over anything. Did you ever hear of waterproofing in bathrooms 20 years ago? I'm not sure but don't recall it being a thing back then.

That is my gut feeling. Does anyone else have any thoughts? Their argument is the chipboard stays in rain for 28 days when building new. Fair enough but I've seen chipboard get wet and swell. Is the...

    Flooding over chipboard floor

We had a flood in a property and various areas got soaked. Insurance is replacing carpet but said the tiled areas don't need to be replaced.

The tiled areas are over chipboard. Not sure if there...

Do 4 weeks. The only downsides I see are:

    - People have more time to do DD. This isn't necessarily a bad thing.
    - You may lose a buyer or two if they purchase before your auction.

    Otherwise...

  17. Moving driveway on cross lease property

    Hi all. A few questions:

I am looking to move a driveway across to put it in right next to where it currently is. It isn't a shared or common area. Do I need consent from other x-lease parties?
