Where are you when you do what you describe? That order does not work.
I suspect that what Keys is getting at is that the changes have become a real turn-off for forumites. An upgrade - any upgrade - is supposed to be that. Something better / easier. That has not been achieved. More akin...

Well, I got all those done, so no reason you should not, too.

PPOR outbuildings used for family members (E.g. Granny flat) have different rules - that's all I can vaguely recall. Once rented to non-family-members, it's a different matter.
It seems safe to presume that the tenants were desperate and looking at the rent figure, for Auckland, perhaps...

$30k Ouch!
Tenant awarded $30k after living with his family in uninsulated sleepout

Why wait three years to complain, I wonder?
I wonder if the sole Director, one Suryakantamma Phutane, will wind up the company, rather than hand over $30k?...

Have you looked at Anthony's site?
It's been a while, but I recall that the details you describe are there.

I'm missing something / perplexed. Once upon a time, houses had no built-in wardrobes. They were separate, movable add-ins. Times changed.
I do not see how a consent could be issued for a building [house?] with a bare 'bedroom' by a building inspector, solely on the basis that someone asserted...

Not Funny - Serious
I really can't help but wonder at the comprehension abilities of so many . . .
The screen capture below reminds me of the old adage:
Beware, they live, breathe, procreate, walk among us and vote!
I really don't think the aforesaid moron...

My experience is that rank and file, front line staff at most banks don't have many clues. I was once asked to verify something as part of some application or other. Might've been a credit card. I duly returned with the (very, very, one-page-simple) financial statements and handed them to the person...

It is a gnarly one.
A Trust cannot own a property because a Trust is not a legal entity. It is referred to as a legal obligation, as I understand it.
Upon trust, the Trustees "stand possessed" of the Trust's assets.
Therefore the Trustees are (while the...

Given one of the TT determinations, a natural person whose name is on the CoT is an owner and, being a natural person, needs a PPOR.
A corporate Trustee does not need a PPOR.

First, it needs to be remembered that the TT Kangaroo Kourts are - to a significant extent - above the law.
Next, put aside the use of the word "family."
With that in mind . . .
The owner of the premises will be those persons named on the...

What's the source of that, Sanya?
You are (again) quite right. The problem is we cannot know and the NZPIF probably won't say why it's sitting on it hands instead of shouting from the diminishing number of residential rental rooftops.
Then again, they may not be diminishing...
