^^ Yes, however the confidence in mainstream media has been lost due to their impartiality and biased reporting....

Why Mainstream Media is Dying
Sorry I accidentally deleted the earler thread
The handouts offered up by the Ardern Government to mainstream media continue until 2026 - is this why we're not getting balanced reporting? Muriel Newman - says it as it is - and hence confidence in the local media is dive-bombing....

When will the US share markets take a dive - ie when will the bear end this year and what will cause it?
Is it safe to say it will be smooth sailing up until the election?...

We probably need to acknowledge NZ is broke - thanks to Labour, the coalition has had to make some tough calls. I still trust they will get the job done.
Yeah we miss out on the 10%, and it’s disappointing, but we’re getting back to 100% a year earlier. There’s no getting around...

^^ I’m wondering - if rates start going up again - especially near the time of renewal how confident are you to keep with short fixed terms or will you lock in a 5% for longer term?
cheers

RE Agents run off their feet
Is this the news we expected?

So lots and lots of listings and the prices are going up!
I wonder how the rest of NZ is doing?
If investors are listing - that's not great news for renters.

Jeffa, I thought you lived off the interest off your leveraged investments (share market). e.g. borrow $1m - live off 10% net return = $100K.

It so will - not looking to flash right now and who’d be able to hang on - lender may tap on shoulder demanding a top up to fix LVR - that would surely be the nail in the coffin.

^^ with high immigration there can't be any relinquishing of the emergency motels aye - that’s a headache the coalition will want to sort out asap.
A hangover from Labour that will be around for sometime and then maybe everyone will forget it was Labour’s F up and blame the current...
