I'm thinking of going back to Airbnb due to the all of the b.s rule changes, also because we might get a lot of Aussie tourists?

If you are doing Airbnb, how has it been lately?...

There Must Be A Word For It

Something that almost everyone knows is a lie, almost everyone pretends is not and everyone sort-of looks at the floor or the other way. Everyone seems to just go along with it - at least in public - despite knowing it's a crock of crap.

    A good example...

    Sunroom without getting consent
    by crashy
I have a deck area that was consented. It's less than 20m2. I've had to lower it due to excavations. I've cut the stumps already. Now I'm thinking of making it a sunroom open on one side (ie not enclosed, which should avoid needing consent) but I need to raise the height back up or I lose a lot of area...

Boarding House Rules - Council / RTA / Fire Rating / GST
    by Bluekiwi
I have a 10 bedroom house that used to be a boarding house.
Never did that as it looked like a lot of hard work.

But with the new rules around non deductibility of interest on residential, I might move this back into being a boarding house.
However, I know this is something...

I am looking for some advice for my situation.

I recently accepted a quote from my managing agent for replacing an oven for one of my investment properties in NZ. The quote was around $800 for a Vogue oven including delivery and installation. However, I later on found that I can get...

    Rent increase when lease incomplete
    by crashy
Tenant signs 12 month lease September 2020 $330
    After 5 months, tenant leaves.
Property relisted at $330 because it is assumed rent cannot be raised for the remainder of the original 12 months?
New tenant can be offered $330 until September 2021 and then increase to $350? Or is this...

    Hello,
ive a flat I’m putting up for sale in London and am getting mixed information on both tenant and landlord rights given covid.

it’s a tenancy that is open ended with no fixed end date and on one months notice from the tenant. It’s been like that for over 3yrs - I believe...
