    Japanese pizza - anyone?

For jaded global gourmets who think they've digested it all, the Japanese have revolutionised the pizza, says the Far Eastern Economic Review. The Wafu Pizza 'straddles the divide' between Japanese cuisine and western dishes. As for the 'no holds barred' topping, it includes cod roe on mustard greens, mayo, squid, tuna, shrimp adn onions, or fish eggs with glutinous rice, tofu and kimchi. A "truly Eurasian" pie says the magazine.

Ummm - no thanks not hungry!!

I'm surprised that much is put on the topping. I had a pizza in a little pizza restaurant in Fukuoka once. A photo showed a delicious looking chunky herbacious topping so I ordered it. Very surprised when the topping turned out to be simply, spirulina. That's all, just spirulina! Thank God the beer washed the yucky stuff down.

Never seen one of those pizzas in my time here - a commercial flop, even the locals won't touch it
