  • Are discounts the same as donations?

Muppet, save the dictionary. This is a common usage question.

Company A says buy my product and I'll donate Xk
Read the details and you find they they're not writing out checks but just discounting their product.

Is that right? or are they being mischevious?

Common in the Used car trade is $2,000 "cash back", which basically means you finance $2,000 more than the car is worth, and they give you some cash to enjoy as you like - if the finance rate is low enough, may be it's enough to buy a Deposit Bond for a new IP!!

        Hi Cube

The public are suckers for the perceived bargain or what they think the perceived bargain maybe.
