    GO THE ENGLISH......RWC

So disappointed with the All Blacks being ousted....I'm right behind the English this Saturday.

If the All Blacks can't have the Cup.....neither can the Aussies 'cos we'll never hear the end of it!!

    Cheers,

I am actually going to have to hope the Aussies win. Normally I back whatever team is playing against the Aussies, but in this case, I hope the boring style of rugby the English play does not win. I am backing the team that doesn't go for drop goals all the time.

so true she had to say it twice

so true she had to say it twice........

Have to agree with Andrew and Leanne.

The English must not win the RWC.
They should follow the lead of their Cricket team (a loss by 10 wickets vs Sri Lanka (all out for 88!!)) and a 3-2 defeat to Denmark in the Soccer !!

A loss this weekend makes it 3 (don't things come in 3's ?)

            Hi all,

It was not fun being in a pub in Melbourne during our fateful game and hearing Waltz Sing Matilda 5+ times during the game - the interesting thing is that we as kiwis don't have a song.....

            Best Regards

                Well she's all over Rover!

Well done England. A much deserved win.

Oz put up a great fight but came up just short.

The Wallabies trophy cabinet is bare - the All Blacks at least have the Bledisloe and Tri-Nations - and England is at last triumphant in the sport they created! All sounds fair to me!

                    Hi Guys

Damn. The wrong team goes down again.

Heard tell that the drop kick may drop in points from 3 to 1.

But thinking about it, seeing as how the IRB is just a bunch of old English farts they may raise it to 4 points.

                    Regards

Trouble is, England invented most sports, and are c*!p at nearly all of them!

                        1966

They'll be talking about this for the next 50 years

They still refer to 1966 almost everytime a team has a chance of winning anything (last time they had a good soccer team)

At least the kiwi's couldn't be held to blame for this.

                          I strongly disagree!

Slice of Heaven usually used and very rousing it is too (occasionally brings a tear to my eye...). Personally I think Bliss should be our national anthem as it is catchy and bouncy and certainly encapsulates the kiwi mindset

"forget about the last one, get yourself another..."

Standing room only at Trafalgar Square today as the parade wound it's way through town.
Tens of 000's of people in Trafalgar Sq. by 10am today (and the parade wasn't reaching there until early afternoon)

Lots of businesses have given their employees extended lunchbreaks to see the cup (as it's likely to be a one-off - considering the last major tournament won by England was 1966)
