Kiwi saver will not release my funds for a property that I'm interested in 3 hours out of Auckland I make 70K year and no kids, I have stated the I will stay with my parents in Auckland during the week for work and go home on the weekends.

The bank and mortgage brokers still tell me that Kiwisaver will look at this as an investment property therefore they will not release my KiwiSaver for a deposit for my first home.

Has any had a similar situation and any information regarding buying out Auckland.

Would be great if anyone knew the legal side of things. Thank you in advance

Why did you mention you’d not be in the property full time?

Will you rent it out for the 5 days 4 nights you’re not there?

Did you know there’s nothing stopping you from having a flat mate?

Find out from a broker like Kris Pedersen how you can put your case across now you know what is doablle.

Starting point is to not represent yourself.

    cheers

Just say it's your first home and you will live in it.
      Not a lie.
And they can tick their little boxes and everyone is happy.

This is brilliant. It's only a matter of how you play the game.
