I wonder... did all those people who deserted Auckland because they couldn't afford a house, end up in all those electorates that went red?

There is really no choice at the moment... the reality is the country voted for Jacinda (not Labor - people didn't really vote for Twitford/Clarke/Davis did they?) What is even more alarming is that these guys won their respective seats which shows you that the alternative is unpalatable.
National MP's in the main are untested or out of date and with PR opportunities kneeling in church has to make you wonder who is really making the decisions at National HQ
If I was in the seat of queen or queen maker I'd probably have the Beehive boarded up and send the lot of them home for 3 years and look for new submissions for 2023

Landslide to incumbent in NZ... Labor
In Aus media they're saying potential for landslide for incumbent in Aus - Liberal/National
Maybe pandemic politics where a leader has done a reasonable job navigating the turbulence is about status quo

That seems likely.
Also, Labour showed itself as capable, by being able to handle two complicated practical events well.
But here's a question for you.
Say you were voting for ideas, rather than personal integrity..
In five words, what was Winston's angle?
" Free stuff for grey power"?
Because, when I was standing in front of that ballot paper, I didn't know any of the tag lines for any of the parties ,
I found myself reaching into "what would be good for me and who could I trust".
So, what were the tag lines of the parties?Last edited by McDuck; 19-10-2020, 08:07 AM.

What, so they made their own tag line?
Vote Maroon, block the Farm Killers?
Ha, that's quite nice actually.Last edited by McDuck; 19-10-2020, 08:16 AM.

Hey, but isn't it brilliant to have a chap in a full tribal face tattoo and a cowboy hat in parliament?
New Zealand rocks.
I wonder if he's going to wear a Texas type suit with it, or go full Brioni.
I'd suggest a Farmer's suit, so as not to alienate his electorate.

There is hope, perhaps the sheeple are awakening?
Polls from Canada show the conservative leader is far more preferable as leader than the current P.M Justin Trudeau, and here in New Zealand the latest poll has the conservative right ahead of the muddled left coalition
Is there hope for the western empire?
2 usually socialist countries could be a pre cursor to a return to sanity in the US empire
I dare not hope for too much, for all of the free world will be decided with which direction we shall lead this decade..

National need to bite the bullet and give Winnie a seat, NZ first polling at ~3% this proves the country wants a centre right government, if The Nat's offer Winnie a seat the election is good as won for the concervitive voters.
Winnie can be the ultra concervitive
David Seymour butts can be the alt right
And the shiny headed bald man can steady the ship and double my net worth.
