Despite the implied mocking, I have oft wondered what would happened to the self-appointed champions of the downtrodden if prosperity levels rose to a point that negated the reason for being for Labour, the Iwi elite, the Greens, et al.
Would they say: we need to disband, because we've achieved what we wanted? Or would holding their positions become more important to them than accepting that their success was also their denouement?

What this article shows is how important landlords are to renters. The vast majority can't afford to own a home so are lucky landlords are there to provide an essential service.
