  • Why do political parties have no idea how to deal with rebel MPs?

You know who I'm talking about.

It's not even political parties to blame.
Every big organization makes the same mistake.
Ignore problems until one person decides to do something about it.
Then expect the usual tactics will shut them down.
Its a strange king of hubris.
You really need to quickly identify an ethics driven person form a pragmatic one.

An idealist will destroy you and themselves for a greater good.
These are the people you need to negotiate with.
Pragmatic people are blind to this sort of person.
Nothing could be further from their approach to the world.

And negotiating doesn't mean setting up a set of conditions that meet your needs,
but fail to satisfy the non negotiable ethical principals of the rebel.

I can only speak in the Sharma case, but it seemed like Trevor Mallards ego and power trip is why he didn't negotiate with proper procedure.

Some say Mallard was trying to protect Arden, possibly ,

Although Ego is a powerful motivator.

I don't understand why we are rated as one of the least corrupt political countries in the world, we are as corrupt as any developed economies.

Isn't lying to win an election (left or right) a form of corruption?

I mean, whether it's Mallard, the Orange man Trump on the right or the coked out Fin P.M on the left, these people are no more intelligent than anyone reading this post, yet they act as if they are God's amongst mere mortals.

Well what ever drugs they take, it must be really good stuff to make them so happy sharing a border with Russia.
