Will the cost for houses go down in 2022?

Changes in housing prices are localized. What one part of the country sees may be different from another region. However, some economic indicators show the overall market sets up for a decrease in demand with an increase in supply.

The price of a house might, the cost of housing won’t.

And much of the building around my area is 2 bedroom apartments, with few or no parking or garages, no land. These are displacing large 3-4 bedroom villas with gardens and garages. My guess is apartments might crash but as houses with land are disappearing they will relatively quickly recover prices as they are becoming more of a rarity. As usual the value is in the land and location.

My thoughts are, they won't drop as much as people think.
