Cushman & Wakefield negotiates $330M in apartment deals in 60 days
In June and July, the Apartment Brokerage Services division of Cushman & Wakefield-Orlando negotiated more than $330 million in multifamily property sales.

Properties were located in Orlando, Gainesville and Tampa, and the total sales encompassed some 1,446 apartment units and one multifamily development site that went for $247,500 per acre.

Among those deals closed in the Orlando area were the $49 million sale of the 320-unit Plantation Park at Little Lake Bryan in Lake Buena Vista to Chicago-based American Invsco; the $49.1 million sale of the 364-unit Worthing Club at MetroWest to Miami-based Beach Hill Development LLC; and two sales in Kissimmee -- the $29.1 million, 192-unit Runaway Bay at Calypso Cay project to Southcoast Partners of Boca Raton and the $28.8 million, 330-unit Horizons complex to Joe Kantor and Charles Orden of Orlando.

Cole Whitaker, a senior director with Cushman & Wakefield's Apartment Brokerage Services, and directors Jay Ballard and Hal Warren represented the owners of the projects in the sales.
