If you want to do yourself-Wash all the surfaces with Vinegar/water solution (One cup of water, Two Tablespoons of white vinegar). Pay particular attention to the kitchen area. Make sure to get around range (stove) and any area where curry oil vapors could hide. Keep the windows open to let the house air, otherwise give house cleaning company a call to do the job.....
Once rented a house many moons ago with a terrible curry odour. The landlord washed all walls, ceiling, carpets and curtains prior to moving in. The smell remained for another 6 months and then started to disappear.....that or I couldn't smell it anymore! Oh I can still distinctly remember that smell especially walking in after work when it had been closed up all day.
Just spent most of this last week renovating a new purchase and had this problem, we washed all the curtains and part of the S&P stipulated having the carpets cleaned, ended up washing the walls, roof and virtually every surface in the kitchen/living area with sugar soap. It did a pretty good job of getting rid of most of it but there was still some lingering odours, might not be practical for you but we just decided to repaint and replace carpet with laminate flooring and only time will tell once that new paint smell clears wether it's still around!
