The social-engineering rent-a-crowd, watermelon party lost their way, long, long ago.

    Late nineties, as I recall.

Don't laugh, but, being a closet 'greenie,' I stood for the Green Party in an Auckland electorate, way back when.

How things changed. I cringed and ran. As did many others of that era.

At the next GE, I hope the new breed of commie-socialist social engineers of pseudo-verdure are consigned for ever to electoral oblivion.

    May they compost in pieces.

Politicking on wealth tax, landlords and deep socialism with their 'fairer communities' doesn't appeal to environmentalists who want a party driven by reducing CO2 emissions, clean energy etc.

Yes, I agree, the Greens have lost their way. The historic core message of the Green party has been diluted -- so much so that not even the Greens can vote for the Greens.

James Shaw and Marama Davidson don't seem to clicked that there is a green voter profile that is pro-environmental AND values wealth and that wealth tax will fracture that profile. Not a smart move when polls suggest they are hovering around 5%. The Green School debacle will also likely see some votes transfer from Green to Labour.

        Splendid observation!

Can I borrow that quote, please?

Well, with a minor amendment. I.e.

Nowadays, the real Greens can't vote for the 2020 socio-commie Greens.

          Every cooperation involves compromise.

          That's the nature of groups.
