If the REA was following all the necessary owner's briefing / RTS guidelines, perhaps.

But if the REA was acting contrary to the owner's instructions, then vicarious atonement seems inappropriate, to say the least.

Another triumph of REA ethics, to add to the list in my earlier post.

Make great PMs, they would. Right?

I think we should be regulated so that tenants and owners know we have a code of standards and basic understanding of rules...but NOT by RE authorities I agree.

              Bindi's bemoaning again.

Where does it say it's disposable and what if it's not, Bindi? You're just speculating to make a strained context point.

Bindi could be talking about REAs, there!

We know how well an industry-wide recognised qualification works for the REAA!

Go peddle your empty and empire-building-biased rhetoric somewhere else.

Streisand Effect. Landlords who would not have seen the ads on Facebook now know where to go for a pitbull PM.

Just how do those ethics work again, Bindi?

                  .

An awkward one, but still an example of those splendid REAA ethics that Bindi bangs on about.

Perry, I don't see how regulating property managers will be any different to how the tribunal polices unlawful business practices followed by PM firms....?

That's not what I'm getting at.

Rather, it's the constant carping by Bindi & Co about how all rental agency ills will be cured by forcing PMs to be licensed and regulated by the REA.

Give the number of licensed REAs who breach those much-touted ethics, Bindi & Co are engaged in attempted empire building, and nothing more.

Anglican Church latest to slag PMs off claiming licensing and regulation the answer to rental shortage. Asked for a copy of this report and was told only available to selected media and political parties. Unbelievable.

They don't want anyone to see the report because they'd have to explain how regulating PMs would somehow, auto-magically be the answer to NZ's rental shortage.

Verily, I say unto you, phaith moveth mountains of BS.
