  • Shared driveways

Our property is on a shared drive owned by our neighbour.

my question is what is our legal obligations with regards to maintenance and useage (eg used to run a businesd from)?

    thanks

Depends. Is it theirs and you have an easement? Is it cross lease and common property?

      Hi Ruthgo

Common property, costs shared according to the crosslease/easement on the title.

But according to the OP, it's not common property. She said it was owned by the neighbour.

Until they explain we can't comment. If they only have an easement then probably costs to maintain entirely theirs. Rights to use will depend on the easement wording.

Why would you have thought that?
As others have said it depends on the easement.

Because if you track FJW's posts he basically reads the last post only and restates it in another way usually ending with hope that helps. He's like an inarticulate troll but bereft of a genuine opinion it would seem.

I think he must have read a post or two saying something similar and taken it on board, because his last few posts have been better and on one occasion (drum roll, please) even helpful.
