  • Opoly property investor crowdfunding is off the mark with a section in Oamaru

This crowdfunding org first had a couple of properties (an apartment and a commercial property) - but couldn't get investors interested - however they are now in the game with a section...

100 investors put in $100 for a section purchase price $103K. They hold the land for 3 years, sell and split the profits.

    Questions:
    1. How much will it sell for in 3 years time?
    2. How much profit per investor and is it a better ROI than other investments?
    3. Is land banking subject to the Bright Line test?

    cheers,

    Donna
New property crowdfunding platform Opoly hit the funding target for its third public offering over the weekend.

The ROI certainly won't be better than other property investments where you are able to leverage debt to increase gain.

Bit of fun for those starting out, with modest means. Students etc, a chance to safely gain experience. Might even double your money!

Hi Donna, my 19yo son uses Sharesies. He's done pretty well too. Good when investors start young! Have told him about Opoly.
