  • AAC Concrete for building

Has anyone here used AAC (Autoclaved Aerated ) concrete blocks to build structural walls? its used a lot in Europe and Asia for centuries but I dont see much of it in NZ, although recently a bit seems to have appeared.

Its basically concrete blocks but much lighter, better thermal rating and noise reduction. Thats hows its been sold but interested to see if anyone can verify.

    Thanks

I am thinking of using AAC panels for cladding as well.

I've seen it for cladding - veneer with cavity - but not structural.
Not saying it can't be done just haven't seen one yet.
