  • Really interested in the truth of what propertytalk members

    Hello,
I'm quite interested to know how many property investments property talk members own.If you dont mind posting how many you own or that your company/trust owns etc, that would be awesome to see.Thankyou very much.

If you are interested sam try running a Poll. Many property investors keep these sorts of things to them selves.

              Sam,

Whitt is right. You won't learn much of any use by asking this question. It could be better to ask better questions, like, "How many investors out there do not have to work in a conventional job because of their property portfolio?" or "Were there any defining moments in your investing history?" or "Which price range properties have delivered the best consistant returns for you?"

My point is that there are hundreds of useful questions you could be asking that will deliver you some worthwhile knowledge, so why waste your time with questions that are going to tell you nothing of use.

I agree withy Julian. It would be more useful to ask questions like-'What did you have for breakfast before your most significant purchase?'-

Arrgghhh!! Julian...D ol' best question to ask punch line again...eeekk!!!

I think it is a great question. Light hearted trivia type stuff. Recalling to March 2004 whenI joined up PT..exactly the stuff I wanted to know...got the ol' adrenaline pumping and ya get to work yaself inta a frenzy.

But now...that stuff is old news... still a reasonable question for a newbie though I reckon.

To answer the question I have just bought my first and take possesion in 2 weeks.

                  Remember..

No questions more stupid than the ones left unasked.... keep it up samconnor....

                      AW,

Yes, I shouldn't be so critical. I apologise. Thank you for challenging my comments.

It is a question I too ask, usually as a quick gauge of where someone is at. If they have 25 properties they are seriously involved in property (usually) and if they have only had one residential rental for six years chances are they are just dipping their toe in the water.

                          Hi Whitt,

Those PT.co.nz url's don't direct you to the exact thread you're trying to link to (You'll get the forum topics thread instead) . You'll have to find the same thread with it's url (different from it's predecessor) in the new PT.com site.

                          regards

                          Roger
