  • Work for 6 months and have 30 years off?

Is this able to be stated because it's posed as a question?

If it was: "Work for 6 months and have 30 years off"

Would that be allowed, Advertising Standards-wise?

Just wondering, is all. To cover all outgoings, I need to earn roughly $80k per annum (lifestyle choices, ok). So that's 30 x 80000 = $2.4m in 6 months. Where do I sign?

      1. Issue driving offense tickets?
A few roundabouts here in Auckland you'd be half way there in a day!

      2. Charge small commission on parliamentary perks.
      Done in hours!

Did you take 38% tax into account for that $80K?

Good point! Shite, that means I need (approx) $120k. Which means they should be able to make me $3.6m, but I didn't adjust for inflation, so over 30 years, crikey, better make that a cool $10m, thanks.

Which is $6868 per hour, 8 hour days. What a system!

            Kiwi- yr a stirrer !
They only need to put things in place over those six months to generate your $120k per annum for the next 30 years - not impossible.

Interestingly your $10mil only needs to be $10mil of income producing assets (not necessarily in equity).
            10mil x 5% = 500k per year

"Put things in place" sounds awfully like a wee bit more work required over the coming 30 years than the implied holiday that I am being led to believe is the outcome, though.

The 10m was accounting for inflation. Remove that from the equation and it's 3.6m, and if it's not in equity then I assume I have the usual lending costs, which is then eating into my lifestyle-req'd monies, which means I'm NOT ON HOLIDAY like they suggest.

A holiday is fishing, eating, drinking and sunning oneself.

Easy... if you're a world #1 in any of the many pro sports, tennis, golf, F1, etc.

                Now... how gifted are you?

Ahhh, but the problem there is that if I was world #1 in any of those games my lifestyle cost would be a tad higher than $80k pa, which would make their suggestion even MORE amazing!

Nice idea, PC, but as the tackle-sporting partner of this relationship, it's more like "work for 30 seconds and have 30 years + 9 months off".

Sounds like gender bias to me!
You might be able to get ACC for that - emotional hurt and all.

....."That's why I am so excited about this gift. You see, whilst most of us think about how to become wealthy, there exists another group of people - a higher standard of mindset - that think in terms of 9-FIGURE SUMS.
Yes I am talking about the BILLIONAIRE"......

uuuummmmmm, I might be slow (a dig at grown men who ride tricycles), but isn't a BILLION meant to be 10 figures?
