  • Knox runs to BlueChip Aus

It was announced to staff at Blue Chip today that Jonathan Knox whom until recently was the Marketing and Communications Manager based in New Zealand has been rewarded for his efforts by Mark Byers. His reward is the same role for Blue Chip in Australia. This role starts next week and is reported to be paying in excess of 200K.

Why did Knox receive this position? He stated to some MIIDE staff in late 2007 that it was offered to him late last year when Blue-Chip in New Zealand required a large amount of spin and Knox wanted somewhere to run to after the carnage.

      Friday's announcement - Tui...

Now I'm an unemployed ex chipper I can finally tell how it is. Friday was my last day AND still no pay in sight.

Knoxy was a hoot to work with and just like me has not been paid. He came from the non-profit sector as contractor at the end of Nov and has not been at the trough with fat fingers. When did the announcement Snap refers to take place? I was there all day. You should let Knoxy know about it...he'll be stoked that he can stop eating out of bins.

Lets not shoot the messengers here. I know for a fact that a small group of very caring staff have stayed on only because they have also been fed a bunch of lies.

They understood there was a major problem but were totally convinced that the only way to help the investors was to stay & help the company trade forward.

If you have ever seen Bryers in action, in person, you will also be amazed - even when you get a gut feeling that something is not right - you find yourself completely sucked in. He has an answer for just about everything, and if you disagree he will cut you off at the knees pretty quickly.

Those staff have had no idea (including Knox) just how huge the problem is.
Most of the "legacy" issues stem back a few years, long before many of the recent staff ever heard of Bluechip.

Those staff that stayed on, in the belief that they were truly helping the investors, have not been paid, also own properties and have not received any rent for months.

Bryers has left a whole lot of scapegoats in his wake and in my belief that list will include, Knox, Bell, & Bangerter.
Also left in the wake are a string of advisers who are left in the coalface to fix the mess. Many of those will tell you that although the details were complicated, they sold knowing that there supposedly cast-iron guarantees in place - guarantees by a publicly listed company that was under close scrutiny at all times. That company moved to Oz and is now smugly thinking they are isolated from this disaster.

Now there is another smokescreen in that it will take a very long time to work through the liquidation of a whole bunch of small associated companies that do not have any money, and never did - despite Bryers indications that they may have enough assets. That's a crock & he knows it.

Flowerday has been there for a very long time and I will take a guess that he is one of a very tiny group who have been aware of the extent of the problem.

Bryers is a very clever man and should not be taken lightly - here's hoping that he got far too smart even for himself and that he has left enough of a trail for it to finally come back to bite him.

Further to my last post - although it seems many sold with all the best intentions - many seem to have been in it of the money as the payout was huge.
For those that are hanging in there to help - sheesh do you have a big job on your hands but good luck in your efforts. To those took the money and ran at the first sign of trouble - I hope an army of centipedes comes to drag you out from under that rock you are hiding.

The Licensee/Franchise owners got 4% of the property sale price, and about 2% of that went to the salespeople.

Agree with some of your previous coments but wouldn't trust Bangerter as far as I could throw him.

I note the comment in Red above.

              Rubbish, rubbish rubbish,

I know as others do, that Neil Bell knew and always knew exactly what the score was. He is no scape goat and should be held accountable for all that has and is happening since he joined the firm.

The only person that would say "Knoxy was a hoot" IS Jonny Knox...so I guess you have been spotted on the forum eh Jonny...

And as you have said yourself, you were there all day, apparently in the presence of Mark Bryers who would have made this announcement...and the only person that would be spending so much time with Mark at present is, you guessed it, the BS Guru, AKA "Here's Jonny"...

FACT - Knox is moving to Sydney, period! Oh, that is only if Mark Bryers manages to keep one of his promises and pays the cash over first eh Jonny...
After all, as you have worked with him so closely and seen exactly how he works I wouldnt trust him either...make sure the cash is in the bank before you fly to Aus on Monday Jonny...

I visited them a year or so back.

The general vibe I got from the place was not good.

It felt like an extreemly thin operation, if that makes any sense.

Normally when there is money about things feel fat, or old.

I didn't know what was wrong at the time, it just felt wrong.

                    Da Man

                    Da Man,

Donna from Property Talk can contact me through my email, I'll then meet her for coffee so she can confirm that UNLESS KNOXY HAS CHANGED GENDER AND ETHNICITY that I am certainly NOT the J-Dogg.

I'll do this as long as you 'fess up to who you are!

Ex-chipper - alot of people reading this board have been very hurt by the actions of Blue Chip. I don't think your way of communicating is helping them any...

You can't ask someone to fess up to who they are, if you are not prepared to fess up yourself.

                        Jony

There were only 10 ladies in the office and two of them made official complaints about you. No one from that group of ladies would call you a hoot. let alone the J-Dog.

In fact no one except Flowerday and Bryers even talked to you without having to.

I was told that the staff in general detested you after you laughed around the office about being such a good spin doctor for the 2% of clients effected quote when you knew over 90% were not getting paid due to cash flow in late 2007.

Bell for all his faults which are quite a few, came into a mess and convinced many staff to stay and try and fix it. Except he made the fatal mistake so many have made - that is trusting and underestimating Bryers. I think he then ended up a puppet in over his head and from there it was all desperation. This is in no way excusing him though.

                            Departure of BC executives

The departure of Blue Chip executives, Knox, Flowerday and Bell to Australia can only be seen as a good thing- it raises the intelligence level of both countries!

                              Ex Chipper is Knox

These threads have shown a huge level of harm to those affected by the BC debacle. Da Man is quite right that with the exception of management Knox did not have the respect of the staff. I also believe ex chipper is Knox. Use of this forum by him to talk himself up insults those investors who were subjected to his misguided communication strategy assuring investors all was well when it clearly wasn't.
