    Replacing windows in 1950’s Stucco

Hi. Can anyone give advice on how to handle waterproofing new aluminium windows into a older (non cavity) stucco wall?

Currently there is no head flashing, just plaster right up to and flush with the original wooden window jambs.

    Hi Strebor

Thats a good question for a builder.

I’m no builder - but I think you need to install flashing to keep the water out. I’ve got a property that could do with all the windows replaced but same challenge - no flashing. It becomes a lot more expensive.

    cheers
