  • Smart meters for power

Does anyone know where to source electrical smart meters.
The power companies charge $150 for them but will not supply to the public.
    Looking at buying about 100

    Hi Beano,

I did a quick search - you'd need to bring them in from offshore and then I wonder if they'd need to be calibrated or if an energy provider would do it and trust them - if it's not from a supplier they have chosen.

Even Australian searches return with 'contact your energy provider'.

    cheers,

    Donna

      Thanks Donna .
I thought that might be case as I have tried pretty hard to buy in NZ.
The units are for use to charge tenants .
So long as all the sub meters equal the main smart meters supplied by the power company I am relaxed .
