After doing a renovation (such as bathroom reno, kitchen reno, creating a partition to create an additional room) is there a some kind of certification I need to seek from the contractors? I know for a new build house one needs a CCC but what about reno's please? Is there something that could affect the insurance? Thanks.

Hi Joesanga
Did you need building consent for any of the renovations?

Then you won’t need a code of compliance cert.
The question is do you know for sure that you didn’t need building consent? For example if you were changing the bathroom which has wet areas, maybe you tile the shower area that would need a waterproof certificate.
It’s best to know beforehand what may threaten your insurance should something happen. You will need plumbers and electrical Certificates for work done.
cheers
