My bro would be happy to hear from you. At the moment he is in Hamilton, so if you call him you could catch up when he is coming through Wellington on the way back down.
As for prop managers in Westport they are a funny breed. The RE agents try to put you off having them managing the property. however you could try Ann Taylor from Landmark or maybe its Jenny now. (03) 789 8881. The other company is Buller Real Estate. Try them and see what comes of it.
If that fails I may know of someone else who is not an agent but someone who was thinking of doing it privately. He had problems too, but I would have to get a hold of him first to see where he is at

Am not happy with property managers and was looking to change, Tim have PM'd you who. Quotes for repairs take forever or never arrive hence why I am looking for a tradesman I can organise myself. Will give your brother a call Michael, many thanks.

I have property in Westport and was wondering who your PM are? I have had to work hard with mine as well to get rents raised, keep me informed etc. so was wondering who you used.

BTW: Does anyone have a list of all the PM in Westport? Maybe it is a lack of competition!!

There is a lack of something with regards to PM's in Westport. An RE Agent doesn't work on Sundays, but then doesn't even call you back if you have disturbed her on a sunday and she is the principal of the company. There are 3 RE agents in town all offering PM services of sorts. I know of a builder who was considering becoming a PM as he also has property and needed a PM. He now lives there. If I knew I had numbers I could look at approaching him. I will call him this week to discuss this with him.

Know what you mean! Quinovic in Nelson are attempting to move into the area. I believe they are specialist property managers, but they are a bit expensive... Also I dont know how real their presence is in the area, ie you really need someone on the ground, rather than making a special trip from out of town once in a blue moon.

Sorry about the bro's number. He is in the North Island at the moment and I cant contact him re his phone. I will speak to another guy in Westport, the builder and see if I can give his number to you all. As far as using someone from Nelson, it would be the same as using anyone from anywhere else. If they aren't in the place how can they effectively manage the property. I don't know of Quinovic being in Westport and it's 3 hours away.

I've been using Buller Real Estate the last couple of years or so. Actually been pretty good.

I've been using Buller real Estate for the last 18 months too and they have worked out well. Have dealt with issues very effectively.
