New bathroom for under $5000

Buying a new bathroom suite in a deal from mitre 10 for $1600, is that good? With the remaining $3000 is I possible to change the bath around, slight change to shower, tiling on floor, part floors, some new gib and new ceiling - is that possible if that money, especially using contractors for some of the work?

Yeah sound pretty good. A lot of landlord are using the flat pac type bathrooms. They are cheap, look good and if they get damaged by the tenant, not too costly to replace.

Shower, vanity, toilet, mirror and towel rail. Bath extra for $300. We're not renting property put but living there for foreseeable future. Any ideas about how much a slight change round of bathroom will be on plumbing costs

Get multiple quotes from different plumbers.

Also cash job may save you more money.

He did rip ALL the old piping out and re-piped everything. he convienced me that join into an old pipe with new pipe always have problems (which is probably true to a degree) and he gets called to fix other ppl's problems all the time.

But i think he just wanted to take away all the copper pipes !!!!

he could have joined copper to copper! You do wonder sometimes - they convince you but don't spell out all the implications, like cost.

then he will tell you it's hard to join copper and you cant get copper pipes from plumbing store anymore !!! these buggers in the industry for so long they know everyway around to milk you. Wait for me to catch up !!!!!!

Got materials 2 x (shower case c/w shower traps, shower heads, sliding doors and lining, vanity,toliet) for 2K though. i thought that was a good deal.
