I mentioned to my PM that because of the economic slump it might be an opportune time to do some upgrading and he pointed me towards the EECA website....I've 2 houses in & near Hamilton that qualify,
one built in the 1940's ...has an Air Ventilation System, but no roof space insulation, and no underfloor insulation
other built in 1960's.....gas fire installed about 10 years ago and I've no idea whether there is any roof space or under floor insulation, but I assume not.
Roof space insulation is the most obvious work to do first.
What are poster's opinions on the EECA scheme? Should I go down the EECA route or just go ahead and get a tradesman organised?
Talking about tradesman....any recommendations in Hamilton?
