  • 99% complete! (kitchen renovation photos)

If anyone is interested, We have basically completed the kitchen (bar some window trims to be painted, and the splashback to arrive)

It took 3 weeks and 1 day to get this far

Judging by the before and after photos, you have done well, starlyte, well done.

Yes it is. It was our first real renovation ever (have painted daughters room)
Now that i am not working on fine details, I feel lost. Might be time to start the next renovation. Bathrooms

Umm makes me think of our kitchen...it could do with a huge make over.

Very nice - how much did that set you back in $$ Starlyte?

                      cheers,

                        uhm

$17,500 for the cabinenets and install
$9000 for the rest - builder, plasterer, plumbing, floor polishing, electrician, splashback.. lights, the many trips to bunnings...

We did not have to purchase the oven, gas hob and rangehood though. These came with the house - still brand new in thier boxes in the garage.
new microwave, Re used existing dishwasher (which i believe was purchased at the same time as the oven etc)

That covered a little more also, Had the hallway sanded and polished, And upgraded the switchboard to something actually compliant

I don't see any insulation in the walls in the 'before' photos - curious to know if you added any?

This might sound silly, But i can explain
We didnt put in insulation. Did not fit into the budget. It got tight at the end
                              However!

We are going to be using the airfoam guys to do the whole house. I am hoping by next winter

It definatly would have been smart to do the walls while the lining was off, But we just couldnt do it
