Lawns and gardens - getting neighbourhood kids to do it

Way way back when we were young and our hearts were an open book I recall recieving pamplets from the kids who lived down the street offering to do chores in exchange for cash.

Is there any reason that still can't be done nowadays? Have H&S laws tightened up around this post-Helengrad (i.e paper delivery boys are now considered exploitation?)

I know of no reason you can't.

Why do people have to make such disparaging comments about others - Helengrad really. Paper boys get a better deal now (for news papers) but pamplet deliveries, from what I have read, is just straight exploitation (and it isn't H&S that is the issue).

Try student job search if you want to avoid breaking one of many laws.

If it is just a minor amount of time/money involved, I'd just go for it.

I found out last night there are over 32,600,000 laws. Some are as crazy as its illegal to tie a giraffe to a lamp post in Atlanta, and all Qld pubs must have a horse hitch outside, and it is compulsary to smile in Milan unless you are going to a funeral or see a sick relo in hospital.

If you are not in Atlanta don't panic. For the odd time you take it there tie it to a power pole (just make sure there is no light on top).
