    rainwater issue

Hi all..Just needed some guidance re some rainwater that comes in through the ranch slider..have added the weather seals that should stop it..however am looking for a extension to the roof over the ranchslider or some sort of covering as the ranch slider opens onto the deck and the rain can come straight onto it..have seen something like a canopy and from the top of my head wasn't expensive but quite useful.
would appreciate any suggestions to help solve this problem and also any place in Hamilton that would be stocking something like this..as this is an elevated house and the deck and the ranchslider are facing the main entrance..would be great if it looks pretty too..thanks

    Good Idea:

I'm taking the same approach. Let's assume that we have cladding that has the potential to leak. This will not be a problem if the cladding is not exposed to water - so extend the roof to stop the water getting onto the cladding.

The main issue, obviously, is the juncture between the existing roof and the extension. I would suggest that you fork out some money ($500-700) to get the design approved by a civil engineer.
